Goals for 2014

I'm back! I've been using other blog names for the past 2-3 years and none of them have really stuck to me. With the new year and everything, I wanted to start a new blog. When thinking of a new name, I stumbled upon my older blogs, including this one. I looked at the name and wondered why I ever got rid of it. It's a cute name and I love it. I have no clue why I got rid of this blog. I was going to start off fresh and hide all the old posts. Then I started reading them. I decided to go ahead and keep 100 of my favorite posts so I can go back and read them, reflect, and notice my growth.

The new year is just around the corner and I have plenty of goals, as always. Hopefully this year will be different and not just another year full of empty promises and broken goals. I decided to scrap my goals for my 101 challenge and start fresh with that challenge as well. I won't be creating a post for it on this blog, but you can find my list at the day zero project site here. The challenge will be from Jan 3, 2014 to Sept 30, 2016. The end date is my dad's birthday. Another project I will be doing is Project Life. I'm doing mine on a birthday-to-birthday timeline. I've been doing a lot of traveling this year so I've only been able to complete two months' worth of layouts so far. I'll be back home in April, with only one month until the end of my Project Life year. I promised myself that I would finish my first year before the start of my second year. I'm not able to physically complete my layouts before April, so until then, I will map out the layouts with pencil and paper. I will figure out what photos I'm going to use, then edit them and order them. I'll have them sent home and waiting for me when I get there. It's always a bonus to come home with a package waiting for you.

Day Zero also had an area where I can create New Year's resolutions. It's an alternative version to the regular resolutions. Here are my answers to their poll:

1. Learn how to DIY and remodel
2. Start exercising three times a week
3. Stop going to bed after two am
4. Take a vacation to California and Route 66
5. Find myself and who I am
6. Try more slow cooker recipes
7. Be more productive

With that being said, my One Little Word for this year is Productive. I really want to take Ali's workshop to help me stay focused on my word, but I don't think I will be able to afford it. It's a year-long workshop so I'm sure it will be worth it. But we'll see.

Rule Breakers

Does anybody follow any rules anymore? I'm sitting in the school library, trying to get work done, and all I hear is chatter in my ear. These people talk REALLY LOUD, not giving a care in the world about the people around them. They also sit there on the computer, sipping on their drinks, eating their chips, even though there are signs on EVERY computer that say, "NO FOOD OR DRINK AT THE COMPUTERS." Crazy, right?

A Turned Leaf

After neglecting this blog, as well as my scrap blog, for almost a month now, I've decided to join the two. I find myself with plenty of time on my hands, but little time with motivation. That's soon to change. I will be pushing myself to be creative and always in the mood to blog or scrap. This blog also has a new name and will have a makeover as well. In case you are reading this post before the makeover, just stick tight, and please don't mind the dust. A lot of things will be changing on this blog and in my life. Like in the beginning, this blog will be about my journey through life. But now with more definition. It will showcase my scrapbooking hobby, my soon-to-be design skills, my travel adventures, and my learning experiences. Ohh, and can't forget the extra stuff that makes my life worthwhile, like: decorating, movies, tv shows, friends/family/relationships, and becoming a grown up. So stay tuned, and enjoy the ride! Upcoming Blogoversary

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to take a moment and say Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's and mother's-to-be out there!

To My Lover

Today is our 4th anniversary of being together. I'm so happy that we've made it this far. He has work today but gets off at 4PM so afterwards we plan on going on a dinner and movie date. I love our dates. Here's to many more years with you, my teddy bear.

New Layout (again ♥)

Hi everyone! I have a new layout with different colors (again!). I was kind of getting tired of the last layout, so I changed it. I've been sick for the past week, so I haven't been in the mood to update (like usual, I'm sorry!), but I have a dentist appointment early in the morning tomorrow and I will most likely be wide awake afterwards. I plan on updating my blog and hopefully complete some tasks as well..(hopefully). So tell me, how do you like the new layout? Have a great night.

New Way of Posting

Ok, I have to admit. I know these postings have been boring. So, from now on, I will only update you on the progresses that have pictures. Oh, and I will update you on all completed tasks, no matter if I will have pictures or not. Then, at the end of every month, I will give you a long update on everything that I've accomplished throughout the month. I will also be updating my numbers on the master list, and the accompanying lists, like movie list, book list, etc. If you haven't heard from me in a while, you can always check out my master list to see if I'd added any updates!
